Default Better Deal???

I need a Dually and am looking at a couple trucks. As with most of us I need to watch what I spend.
Which is the better deal...realizing I can pay for the newer truck but will be stretched thin. (I will be paying cash for what ever I buy)

All trucks are:
F 350 Duallies
Diesel
Lariat
all white, tan leather interior
crew cab
4 x 4

2005 w/ 54K miles for $29,500
2002 w/ 17k miles for $29,000
2001 w/ 115K miles for $21,000

The 2001/2002 is apealing because of the 7.3 vs. the 6.0 motor.....

What to do????

That's a brand new truck, and will hold value. Chew 'em down the best you can, and snatch it up.

Remember, there are several thousand 2003s out there with 7.3L in them as well. Early 2003 had the 7.3, and then they switched to the POS.

We sold our 2004 King Ranch w/every option and 48k miles for $32,500 a few weeks ago. The '02 w/17k miles is nice but we found people would rather have the newer truck for the same money. If you plan on keeping it then it's a different story.

I sold my 02 350 dually with 40K miles and about 6 grand in extras,
white with silver, for 26,500 6 months ago.

I think you will be better off going with the newer truck, 29K is insane for a 02 no matter the miles. Remember with the 05 you still have factory warrenty. You will be able to drive this truck for a few years and not loose that much $$$. This is my humble opinion working around the car biz.

BTW I have a 04 350 non dually with the 6.0 and I love it.
