Does anyone know how successful the classified boat section on OSO is? I realize that there are a lot of variables ie; boat type, price, etc. etc. but do sellers usually have any luck? I keep hearing it's a buyers market and some of the ads have been around for awhile. Just wanting some info before placing an ad. Where would you advertise if you wanted to sell your boat??????

It does work.

If you are really serious I would advertise on OSO, BoatFreaks, TBM, also on Ebay, BoatTraderOnline, and the local papers. The largest boat market is up in the great lakes region. Make sure you get into some of their boat papers also.

You probably will not sell it on ebay, but you will get one or two good leads to follow up with and hopefully close a deal after the auction. I have seen that work twice.

And I was one of them. You can get some really good leads from ebay.

So far I have only listed my boat here on OSO. In less that a week I have recieved 6 calls and 2 emails about it. All sound like serious buyers. We will see.
