Powerboat Mag originally had them. Suppoedly that shot was taken during the very last race before 9/11.

I'm looking at mine right now, I have it in my office.....9/11 was a Tuesday, the NYC race was the Saturday before the attacks.....

I was driving our F2-07 Outerlimits "Wild Child" in that race. I have several pictures that people sent to me with different angles of us with the WTC taking up most of the background. Not only do I have those framed on the wall but I was in a dentist chair two years ago & noticed a picture he had up on his wall. It was an areal shot taken from a small plane showing Manhattan & the hudson. It was taken during the race & the boats (white wash mostly) are visible. His friend took the picture & he got a framed copy for me.
