Where are you guys buying this oil ? I need some and would like some ideas on where to look.

Most auto parts stores don't carry it because it is "for motorcycles". They can get it though. Not sure but maybe Walmart and/or Kmart carry it.

Look in your phone book for your local mobil oil distributor.

I know a few guys that get theirs here..shipping is included...

Before you order take this into consideration...Mobil-1 15W-50 EP was reformulated 3 times in all viscosities.

Oil analysis now shows it to be extremely close in both base (Group IV PAO) and additives and the 15W-50 EP GOLDCAP which is as good or better than the former REDCAP.

While V-Twin has an edge it is much smaller now. So if you can get GOLDCAP you will be in great shape.

V-Twin is worth it if you can get a decent price and availability for it.

The best place to get it is your local Mercedes Benz dealer.
They get the best prices on it too. MB specifies Mobil 1 for all of their products so the dealers can order it for you.

Walmart. Its not always with the regular oils. My walmart has a small motorcycle section, thats where I find it. They usually only have a few Qts. I pick up what they have when I am there.

Its only $7.89 a QT

You shop at Wal Mart and look how good it kept your motor running Do they carry starters?????

Thanks to all. I can get the gold cap easily. Even the Target store down the road has it. I think I'll make a small effort to get the V-Twin today. Thanks Hydrocruiser for the heads up on the gold cap. After I posted yesterday, I again read the Marine Lubrication post.
