How ironic...

Looks like he is laying on a bed of lettuce..

Per CNN they only removed part of the barb...

Something tells me there is more to this story, My family and I have done many Sting Ray encounters and have dove for years with this fish and we have never seen them attack or react in a strange manner. even the Sting Rays that are not in secluded area dont attack. the only time they will become aggravated is if you torement them and even then they are easy to read, they start thrashing and rotating there barb, thats the warning to get away from them. The only way that fish would have jumbed in the boat is if the Sting ray was being led on with bait or trapped and had nowhere else to go. Or something was chasing him down below. Something is just wrong with this story.

I have seen them fly

We were in the Key west poker run a few years ago when one jumped up in the air in front of us

Everyone said i did not see what i thought i just saw

but after more discussion with people from the area i was told it is not uncommon

It was a very unexpected sit e to say the least but kind of cool as well

That story made the Chicago news with the doctor that did the surgery, and the girl that was in the boat with him.
