Are any of the old Active cats still around ( Benihana, Wolverine, etc. )?

i saw 1 of the benni boats nw of chicago 6-7 years ago ,real rough no power on its side in a salavage yard

I know where theres a hull only..Good shape, But the guy wanted all the money at the time.

Now I know I'm old, I grew up down the street from the Active Marine factory and remember seeing all those CLASSIC race boats hanging in the hoist when they were new.

Where was Active Marine?

Was is on 14 /Gratiot across from the (now) Hooters?

I believe the owner still lives around Metro Beach.

The Active Marine building was on M-29 in Clay twp now called Expert Marine. The building on Gratiot was Active Homes.

My favourite Active cat was Lee Bomarīs (?) Wolverine. But then again A j Mr Roberts was a cool cat too..........

Can anyone tell me what these brackets were, located around the location of the motors?? Some kind of strengthening maybe?? I never noticed them before, but these shots are from the AJ ROberts Active cat and the Blue Max Active. Did they all have these??

I can remember the following but presumably there were more?
Systems
AJ Roberts
Wolverine
Panasonic
Blue Max
Benihana
Motor City Magic
Hublot (broke apart in Needles Trophy race in England).


Anyobdy know if they were all different or if one became another under new ownership etc.....Thanks.
