I believe they actually roll those"surf boats" over as part of training! Morro Bay in Calif. can get bad like that (where those shots are from), but the Columbia River inlet (Graveyard of the Pacific) is used for most training, as it is worse.
Turned upside down, they right themselves in 10 seconds or less.
