Some of the USCG boys out having fun. Kind of hard to see in the pics, but I'm pretty sure you can make out the Apache Indian head logo on the side of the boats...

Yes. The Weather Channel had USGC Rescue stories on last night. The 47' that is used in rescues is unsinkable and if it goes under brings itself right side up within 8 seconds.

Last nights story showed one of the boats going over and coming back up.

The pics are amazing. The water is huge!

playing that close to the rocks adds some urgency and realism to the training I'm sure.

I always said I'd never be scared in big waves... I think I'd be asking myself what I would be doing there... But if you really think of it, we're mostly scared not to damage or sink the boat! So after all, if I had the chance to do this, without being scared of the boat itself...

I'D DO IT!!!
