Channel Islands Run & Raft Dec 16th...
The SCOPE webpage is still down but once it's up, look for more info.
I just wanted to remind all members (and non-members, this is open to everyone) of the Channel Islands Run the weekend of Dec. 16th.
Changing things up a bit. We're going to run out to the back side of Santa Cruz Islands and meet with a 50' Hateras who will be anchored awaiting our arrival. Raft up for a few hours and hang out, then run to Ventura Harbor for lunch at the Greek Restaraunt. Docks in Ventura and resvo's at the Greek will be taken care of.
There will be over night guest docks in Channel Islands harbor next to the launch ramp. People staying the night can stay at The Embassy Suites Resort located on the beach or sleep on thier boat.
Diner Sat. night at Capastranos (Embassy Suites). And a brunch run back to Ventura mid morning Sunday for those who want to run.
We changed the dates back to December due to the water being really nice up here that time of year (last year we had some BIG swells to contend with).
Look for more info once the SCOPE board is back up.
Hope everyone can make it. It's a fun run and a change of pace from the norm.

Chris and I would love to join you all on your island run.
We are not members of SCOPE since we boat exclusively out of Channel Islands, but we would both enjoy participating in your Run & Raft adventure. We'll probably ride together in Christophers 272 as the PM return trip might get a bit bumpy in my 232.

Hey Tank, Thanks for keeping things up to date! So Far it looks good for us ...... I'm glad we don't live back east.
