Default Lemon Law, anyone ever do it or have info?

My New Freightliner has been in the dealer for the same problem fuel presure 4 times. They can't figure it out. The truck stalls while your driving. The second time it was in the shop they called me and said it is past due for the oil change and the oil is very black and thin and it could be our problem. I told them the oil was just changed, my guy didn't update the window sticker. He was lost for words. What could an oil change possibly do with this problem is beyond me.
Last Monday I had the stereo upgraded, they added 3 amps. I dropped the truck off Tuesday at the dealer for the same stalling problem. Friday morning they called and said it's the way the stereo was wired causiing the problem. Again BULL Crap! I told him the stereo was put in monday but this is the same problem we have been dealing with for 2 months. What could the stereo possibly have to do with a fuel pressure problem? Friday night they called that they figured it out to come and get it. Saturday it again left me stranded at the boat ramp with the boat. I am completely frustrated and don't trust the truck. Any "Logical" suggestions?

What kind/brand of power do they put in those, just curious.

Sorry about your problem (s).

That's funny they're telling a guy with screename LubeJobs he didn't change his oil. Ironic.

Yes, I've been there done that. The states' Attorney general office should have the form. I filled mine out, they contacted the manufacturer and we had a new car within two weeks. We had been told the same BS as you over and over again and I finally got fed up with it.. Good Luck! BTW, if Freightliner was going to fix the problem it would have already been fixed.

Try another dealer? You would have to check with your state on the laws. In MA if you have it in 4 times for the same problem in the first year or are with out the truck/car for more then x number of days in a year then it qualifies but is not guaranteed to be bought back. Our Saab got bought back and we did not even ask them to do it. That is however VERY rare.

Some states make it a lot easier then others. You will have to look up how it is done in Florida and it may get more interesting as your truck I would think would fall under a different deal then a passenger car.

It has a C7 Cat in it. This is the 4th time in the dealer. i have had the truck for about 5 months. I can't find if Lemon law covers trucks as well as cars.

Lemon Law in FL doesn't apply to commercially registered vehicles so unless it is registered to you personally then there will be no lemon law coverage.

Otherwise the rule is 2 years or 24K miles and vehicle must be in for same problem 3X or 30 days out of service total.

We had problems with two Frieghtliners that were factory converted to propane. That F'ed it up totally and we re-did the convertion ourselves. They had the fuel lines running under the air ride cab and when the cab moved it crushed the lines. Might want to trace out the lines and see if you have a similar problem.

Gino,

I've been doing a lot of research on MDT's on other sites as well. There seem to be a lot of electrical problems with the M2 Freightliners that were assembled in Mexico. Maybe some of this will pertain to your problems. Check this link:

I do notice how many people here on OSO are trying to help out our friend with the black cloud following him. Sure, we're still giggling some, but seriously, we'd all like to see your current run of bad luck turn around.

Good luck Gino.....it's gotta get better soon.....
