1 or 2 inch shorties for 29 ol

Has anyone tried shorties on a 29 ol? I'm looking to get a couple more mph, she has 496 mags.

I have 1" shorties on my 99. I don't think you will see anything. The later versions of the 29 had a raised x from the factory.

Thanks for the info I was hoping it would work. I guess I'll try new exhaust and props.

You are going to get better results with a good lab job & exhaust anyway, but the combination of the shorties, labbing & exhaust........
