Capacity is 8 quarts with filter. The most I've ever put in is about 7 quarts. You just can't get all the old oil out.

Check this thread for filter numbers.

Correct, you cannot get all of the old oil out via sucking it out the dipstick.

You can drain all of the oil by installing a drain tube on the bottom of the pan. Mercury makes a kit for this.

Good luck in a twin installation Next boat is staggered. I couldn't even get to the inboard drain plugs on my 502 during winterization. Had to go with the 10 gallon antifreeze method

It can be done. You just need to find a "short person" who teaches Yoga.

It already had a hose installed that is ziptied up by drive oil resevoir I just ran it out through the plug hole in the back and drained it into a pan. I couldn't imagine having another engine stuffed in there there's no room now!!
