We as racers should all have listened to our parents when no doubt we were all told "If you don't have anything nice to say about someone then we should not say anything at all". We are all very passionate about the sport of offshore racing it is truly something that we look forward to doing several weekends a year, we spend time away from our families and our business to pursue something that we love. Lord knows it costs us all a lot of time, hard work and money.I do it for the sport of competition and to spend time with very dear friends. The constant bickering between racers and organizations is not helping our cause to grow the sport of offshore.
There is not a perfect place for everyone as we are all different people with different passions and since there aren't any perfect people in the world we can't make everyone happy. However, for us to allow this negativity to take place where our fans all over the world can view is completly ludicrous. If you are passionate and enjoy where your race God Bless you if you are not race somewhere else. But airing the dirty laundry of the sport of offshore in this forum does nothing for our sport, certainly nothing for our sponsors or fans. I would suggest that when someone decides to post something negative on this forum that we simply do not respond to it. Thus if you stop feeding the sharks they will eventually go somewhere else and the sport will be better for it. By making this statement please know that I am not directing these comments to any one person or comment made in this forum. It just sadden's my heart that something I am so passionate about is clowded by the unrest between organizations and racers. If you truly have an issue with another racer or organization then be a stand up person and pick up the phone and settle it with them. Discussing it here will not allow any issue to be resolved.
I am very confident that the good folks that created this website-forum never intended it to be used in this negative manner, rather a forum for racers and fans to to have a place where they could feed their passion through pictures and the latest updates on the sport of offshore.
At the end of the day it is up to us to take the sport where we want it to go as we are the racers who support the organizations so maybe it starts by focusing our energy on positive things for the sport! I think our sponsors and fans would greatly appreciate it.

Congrats to Bryan, Jimmy and everyone else at SBI/APBA/UIM. You are all 100% correct in my book, hopefully things will be different next year.

This is a good "goal", but probably an unrealistic expectation. I think that a variety of opinions produces a fertal ground for positive cnahge, sometines that is born from bickering.
If you create an artificial environment where it all seems just great all the tiem, I donlt think you actually fool anyone anyway.
I do think the personal attacks are not appropriate (except for attacking POO, since he deserves it
)

I agree with your comments, I would not want to create an artificial enviornment however one that we can accomplish something with vs. the ones we can not change on this forum. Constructive conversation will stilmulate change and negative bickering destroys any hope.
