does anyone have the link for the alarm codes for the 525efi motor .. the alarm beeps 5 times and the motor wont go over 3000rpms.. i was told that it is the gear shifter not fully ingauged i just wanted to double check

You need to read the code it is in one of the power reduction modes. If you suspect a neutral switch, disconnect it and see what happens. If the switch is bad or misadjusted it will spin right up with the switch disconnected. I have seen these go out of adjustment and cause it to go into power reduction.

I scanned this out of my manual for my 2005 Merc 525. Hope it helps. There are a few problems listed that give 5 beeps - but none of the ones shown activate the Guardian System.
