What?? 39 SBI Offshore "Champions" in 2007
SBI/APBA will have 3 Championship races in "2007" ...
The first being the Nationals
The second being the Florida Championship (New for 2007 )
The third being the one and only true Worlds in Key West
This coming year should be a blast and plenty of exciting racing with a few new sites .

Much different from the OPA approach. 6 racing classes, 40+ racing members (not just registered, but active racers) and a single national points championship to work for. Then a best of the best shoot-out for a Annual world Champion. Only 12 Champions for OPA. Its Similar for OSS.
Who really holds the "true" World Championships?
What makes a"Champion" in Offshore Racing these days?

This makes for a Champion. Winning the OPA Overall High Points Championship two years in a row, PLUS the 2006 World Championship in Destin and having your boat on the OPA logo.

A champion beats all in it's class not just in a racing organization (group)..
