Can anyone tell what/who/where I could get one of those mirors kinda things that are bolted to the bottom side of the engine hatch.

I've used Polished stainless Steel before. Looked great, easy to clean. Didn't distort or discolor

Any local plastics dealer will have mirrored plexiglas.

This is the best advice you will get. I've tried Plexiglass and it was a disaster. The stainless costs more, but it works much better.

I used plexiglass and it worked just fine. Ask the plastic people what you need to drill and cut the plastic. You can't use standard twist type drills, it will crack when you drill. You can modify a twist drill to work but you need someone to show you what the finished drill looks like. Be careful when mounting also, if you overtighten the screws it will crack around the holes.

I’ve had both under my hatch, and yes plexiglass is harder to install properly, but that’s not the biggest issue.

Hatch mirrors need to be cleaned regularly and plexiglass scratches pretty easy.
It also distorts with heat and age.
And it’s hard to adhere to the hatch without putting screws in the center which looks so-so. (Unless you’re installing rather small pieces)

The only cons I have with stainless are the cost and a little more weight. Otherwise it’s indestructible.
