Post Still looking...35 Cafe Racer

Yup, I lost out on that Cafe Racer that was listed here...one of you clowns apparently bought it without a sea trial or a survey...and paid 42K...good luck with it

So, I continue my search...I'm looking for a late 80's Cafe Racer in the neighborhood of 50K...It has to be original gel and engines and drives can be original also. Original interior is preferred, although I doubt one of that vintage exists with original interior...

C'mon guys, help a brother out and keep yer eyes open...

Thanks!

The one that was sold was white with a red stripe and had CIGARETTE written down the side in big, block lettering. It was in Michigan, and apparently bought by someone in Oklahoma...definitely a brave move...I'd hate to be that guy and get it home only to find the entire transom needed replacement

Sean,

Stopped at TNT on Sunday. No one was there. I'll check again this weekend.

Tank, Yer lookin too huh??

There are some out there, I may go look at the one at TNT, it's been for sale for a while, but I think they are asking too much for it.

There's one in NJ for around 50K, but something makes me reluctant to look at it...mebee I just need an excuse to go to sunny Florida!

Have you come across anything interesting?

The one I'm talking about is at TNT. Maybe River Girl can hook up a deal! She's working there now I believe.

I'm just half ass looking right now. I have to deal with putting the new motor in my then selling it sometime later. Then I will seriously be looking. I was thinking around 90k to spend but I see you can get some that just need a little TLC for 50-60. Prices are dropping big time though!! You can get a late 80's to early 90's gun now for mid 90's, that just pushes the cafe's down! Hope they stay like that for another year, when I'm ready to buy. I'd def. check that one at TNT out though. What did RG say about it? beat up or what??

Tank,

There was one at Eddie Morenz shop in the Huntington Beach area. It was a little rough but had potential. DMan knows Eddie ... might be able to hook you up.
