Default Winter projects for the boat, lets see em'

I am new to all this and recently bought a 36 OL from a member of the OSO. I have decided to update the cabin carpet to grey like on the newer models and loose some of the purple. I hope to have it all removed over this weekend and reinstalled by the following. I'm having the deck carpet redone in purple. I'll post some pics when I get started. Anyone else starting any projects?

I am wrapping up my winter project…. Motors, Paint, and Interior are now finished now all I have left is to put my new gauges in and paint the dash and glove box and a few other panels. Put my new platform on witch should be this week and put my rub rail on, Stereo and this project will be done. It will be completed real soon. I am ready.

I am finally putting the new 496ho in my 27' Islander and putting on a new Imco dual ram full hydraulic steering system. Should be done sometime around spring!

Business has been to busy to put more than a hour here or there. I guess that’s a good thing!

I was just going to pull starboard engine to remove y-pipe and change out the bilge pump. But after the compression test I will be pulling both engines. The port engine had two bad cylinders. All of which was caused by the engine builder with out a doubt this time. Looks like I will be able to re-rig the engine compartment while they are out.

Also plan on making the rear bench seat into a triple bolster seat.

Just finished the trailer improvement package, which included diamond plate front, front boarding ladder, new tool boxes, and 8 star aluminum wheels.

Looks like it will be another expensive winter.

Way to look at the positive. It is much easier to re-rig and detail and engine compartment without the motors in the way.

You will have to post some pictures of the trailer upgrades.

Add bulkheads to ware the back seat was, one under the dash where the plexiglass was and a rim one whereseats end in the cabin. and finish with the inside hyd steering, maybe floors to, new brakes on the trailer disk, new back seat. then go race in opa this spring if my knee is done. the surgery 6 weeks ago did't work I told them.
