'05 F350 Diesel Computer Reflash
#1
I recently took my truck into the dealer and had the computer reflashed. Ever since then, when I turn off the truck, I hear something running for about 30 seconds. Anybody know what this might be?

It is your injectors cycling. It is a reflash to improve cold weather starting.
They are supposed to explain this to you before doing the reflash. If they did not, I suggest you call your service manager and ask them why not.

actually, the small bowl that holds your fuel filter on top of the engine was not full all the time. so when you used to shut off, there would be a slight lack of fuel pressure and it would take a small bit of extra cranking to start. now your fuel pump runs to fill it to keep the proper pressure up with the injectors and the injectors also cycle to get fuel ready for the re start so the whole system is charged with pressure properly as soon as you turn the key now. my truck runs better and even gets better mileage after the recalls there were 3 recalls on my truck! if you have an o5 get to the dealer, this makes a big difference!
