Man I love the Savage! Top of my list for next years upgrade (and it's a very short list). There are just so few of them used. I saw one online. It was a 2005 with a 496HO with 70 hours, they wanted like 69k. It was mint! Maybe under powered, but seemingly safe from a maintance standpoint (a little afraid of blue motors). But it was SOLD!
These things are hard to find.
My other choice is a late model 29 Fountain with a single. Great boat! But I'm just not in love with it like the Savage.
I'm not ready to take the plunge until next year, but the search goes on.

Yes, very, very small cabin. I could work with it, though. I'm just not in love with the lines of the fountain and the molded swim patform and the windsheild. All that stuff to me seems really old-school... The lines of the AT seem to be more modern and down-to-business. The clean lines of the cabin in the Savage are just perfect! I don't mean to slam Fountains in any way shape or form.

Hate to bug everyone again...
The lines of the Savage are just perfect from every angle. Even the bolsters are perfect. Ever see a Baha? The bolsters are like, round in the back, and the dash is like, well, round! Even the cabin, everything has these round lines!
I like the Baha 25's sqaure transum, but it's just everything else I don't like. The savage is the most down-to-business boat I have ever seen. It has these clean straight lines. I love the instrument panel and the working area. A couple other boats would do, but the Savage is the only boat that I really LOVE/WANT.
Thinking of using some Frequent Flier miles just to actually see a Savage in real life.
Sorry for the ossession/rant,
Tom

Still too early to tell what might be in/around South Florida during the Miami Boat Show timeframe.
Mike Case's 28 was at the Chicago Poker Run this year. Perhaps you can make it down for the same event next year.
