Default looking for waterproof dvd monitor for headrest?

need a 7-10" marine monitor for the back of a sear headrest for cockpit dvd viewing in the sun. thanks

I used Pioneer on mine and cannot recommend it. Is not daylight readable and screen is de-laminating. To be expected I guess with the exposure. 3 yrs old now and I'm sure there is something better on the market now.

LCD's and bright light are tough. The key is going to be the seal around the outside of the screen. You can use about any panel as long as you seal around the trim well enough. To my knowlege there are no TRUE waterproof LCD's out there. Water will not hurt the screen unless it is salt. Even then you can clean it as long as you do so quickly with fresh water or even better a LCD cleaner.

go to mp3car.com and look in the boats section. You want a transflective monitor for daylight viewing.
