did you see the "trailer" on the back of the ski??? think it was a life guard, the surfers also use pwc to tow them into the big waves

Its a little raft/kickboard being towed behind the PWC. Phragle is absolutely correct. The PWC are used to tow the surfers out to the waves, and also to bring them up to speed before "dropping-in".
