Default 27 Daytona drive question

Currently running a Bravo 1 and wish to add a Sportmaster lower.Do i use standard length or shorter? It is a 06 model. What will be the advantages other than the nose cone if any.Stronger? Will it mate to a standard Bravo upper?Anyone have one for sale? Thanks

Hey buddy,Merry Christmas. You still got that boat?Yeah stock Bravo 1.Started out with a 502, Weiand blower, about 530hp.Now a bigger blower, superchiller, few other changes, about 630hp.Still with the stock Bravo 1.Trouble is i have 2 other new stock Bravo 1's as spares. No trouble yet, taking it easy, only 16hrs.What size shorty is yours?I will needto upgrade as the real engine is currently being built.Should be 900hp.Should have just mailed you on the drive question.Carl.

2" shorty depending on the roughness of the water. but why waste the money on the shorty just get a Bmax and be done with it.

The bmax is available in standard and shorty versions.Bmax bolts up to Bravo. Cost is anywhere from $5500 used to $12K new. they are designed to live up to 1000hp. Check out www.bravoshop.com for more info.

2 INCH SHORTTIE WILL WORK FINE AND PUT AT LEAST 5 MPH ON A BLOWER MOTOR, WE HAVE SEEN 4 TO 5 MPH DIFFERENCE ON 525s, GOING TOA 2 INCH SHORTTIE, WITH NO ISSUES OF BLOW OUT OR GETTING ON PLANE IT HAS BECOME THE STANDARD DRIVE OF CHOICE FOR ALL ELIMINATOR CATS.
