You want to install four things to improve towing and handling on that truck.
In order:
Putnam XDR Class-V hitch. (Factory hitch is weak crap.)
AirLift 1000 or Firestone Ride-Right Airbags (Instead of a sway bar.)
Rear-wheel spacers (Spread the rear wheels out to the same track as the front wheels, increases stability.)
8" wide wheels (REALLY improve handling and stability)
Byrdman is going to jump all over this thread, but if you have this truck, you have this truck, and that's it.
Check out the Avalanche 2500 thread. Its the same truck, and I put a LOT of info on that thread, all work that I had installed and tested on my 2500 Avalanche.
