I finally sold my baja. The buyer is from Canada and will need a bill of sale among other things. Does anybody here have a generic bill of sale document that covers all the bases? Or info on where I might find one?

Ever heard of a US Bank Draft? This is what the guy would like to pay with.

Have him bring "U.S. Treasury Gift Certificates". They're easily identifiable by the picture of Ben Franklin on the front and the number "100" at each corner.

This way, you can avoid that hollow feeling that comes with being boned out of a large amount of money.

Another note.
My attorney wont let me sign any contract (especially boat related) that does not state something to the effect
" Any legal issues as a result of this contract shall be handled in the court jurisdiction presiding over (your town) in the county of (your county) in the State of (your state)"
This way should there be any legal issues that arise, it is clear where the jurisdiction lie and you will be able to use your attorney.

If you go to the missouri dept of Revenue web site they should have a forms section that will have a bill of sale for about every type of transaction imaginable. I just used one of these when selling a utility trailer. Good luck.
