Costa Rica Where to go what to see???
Hi All I am going to CR in Feb by myself to explore, need a few pointers on where to go and what to see...stay.. experience... Am interested in fishing, beach, partying, all you experienced CR travelers help a noob out! Thanks Hitman!

Jaco beach, is where the good fishing is, I just stay in San Jose, close to the Del Rey Hotel, There are many small buses that can take you to the beach, Its about a 3 hour drive. A lot of people like Jaco, I dont think its for me. I will be there 2/14 thru 2/18. Read this website board.

Fly To The West Coast As Fast As You Can. Any Bus Ride They Say Is Three Hours Is An All Day Ride On Bumps. I Would Stay Out Of The Cities Not A Lot To See Except Crime.

Fly into Liberia, drive or charter over to Tamarindo. Surf, party, relax fish etc. Then drive down the Nicoya penninsula Montezuma and relax. Take the Ferry across and drive down to Jaco for great fishing. The wife and I have been down a few times and love it. We have a little place there now.
I didn't think much of the rainforests in Monteverde. The town is filled with a bunch of trustifarian Berkelyites that smoke too much pot and wear enough petuli oil to drain the vicinity of breathable oxygen.
