Post Ettore powerboats?

So what's the real deal here? On another thread, people are bashing them.
Ettore boats look like a hot ticket but are there problems with the hull?

DJD, I think the hull is from Extreme and Weismann rigged it and used thier own drives.

What makes it special are that the engines are practically inline and the tranny makes the offset to the drives.

I know Mark built some Phantom hulls for Will Smith. I also know his 29 is tough to beat but the 39 has not been too successfull so far.

There are some great photos in Wiessman's site.

I believe it's an Extreme hull. And I would never question that hull after the stuff photo's in powerboat mag!! And they drove it back to the dock on one motor!

Well I don't know about the 39, but I drove a 30 Extream Canopy today in the Gulf. The weatherman was calling for 7-9' today and I think he was pretty close.

Watching it run out there before I got in, I started looking for a parachute.

The 30 Extream was a joy to drive. Very controllable, solid, stable, fly's level and lands great. The only thing that broke was the prop.

If you guys go to www.scopeinfo.com and look at the "hot shots" arcives. My girlfriend took the picture of the ettore boat catching HUUUUGE air during the apba ventura race. It's a nice picture.

The OLD Ettore 39ft went thru
a major change over and is now
a very fast Poker Run Boat.
Now open cockpit with rear seat
and clam shell hatches.

MikeJ, How's it going brother? How is the old ettore boat any way? Have you been out on it lately? What are you rigging now? Talked to Ricky lately? What's his deal, did he get a new driver for ragamuffin or what? Ok enough of the 20 questions. Hope all is good with you. Hope to see you soon.
