Default Shoreline Management Plan meeting tonight

Hey guys. If anyone can make this meeting it will really help the fight against restrictions being suggested for the lake.

A small group of troublemakers at the lake are trying to keep the lake businesses from expanding. This has been an ongoing struggle that seems to surface every Winter. They like to "sneak" meetings in and imply they are speaking for the majority, when in fact the majority favors lake expansion.

Here is the email:

JUST A REMINDER

NOW IS THE TIME FOR PUBLIC INPUT

Please make plans to attend GRDA’s Grand Lake Shoreline Management Plan PUBLIC MEETING on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at 6:00. It will be held at the Union High School Performing Arts Center (UPAC). 6636 S. Mingo, Tulsa, OK

Plan to attend this public hearing and let your voice be heard!

It will not take long to listen and at least fill some seats in our favor. Anyone that hangs out at the local yacht clubs should try to attend. If we ever want Grand Lake to become more popular these guys have to be stopped. These are the same individuals that are trying to impose speed limits, dock restrictions, low water levels, etc. Pretty important stuff if we want the lake to remain a fun place to go.

Glad to see some people will be going! I've been trying to get as many Tulsa people to go as possible.. but hard to tell what the turnout will be just yet.

It was an interesting meeting. Hopefully they can all come to a reasonable conclusion without FERC having to get involved.

Sorry I couldn't make it. I've been buried under work lately. Hopefully it all went well. Thanks for representing!

I had hoped to make the meeting but schedule did not allow.

BLee mentioned business growth and speed limits - any other issues on the table that would concern boating and lakefront developing?

And would the 'Duck Creek Home Owners Assoc.' be involved?

Yes
Read the papers, there are meetings in many areas.
This will definately change the way we use the lake.
Please try to attend and voice your opinions now.
