Default Quiet in here...

Couple shots from my b-day run a couple weeks ago.
Nice 1-2 foot swells in the Pacific...perfect! Wish I had some action shots...

Dave,
Nice shots of the boat, glad to see someone is able to enjoy the water this time of year. It's quiet because most of us are hibernating, wake me when it's over

Summer's coming! Almost there...
Just got off the horn with my buddy Matt. Looks like he's putting together a run to Catalina (26 miles each way) for Mar 17 on St. Patrciks Day. Should be about 8 or 10 boats. Schwing!!

Nice looking ride

Sutphens rule the rough stuff, perfect for the left coast.

My first real offshore run was when the SCOPE guys made that killer "JUMP" video. Musta been 3-4 rollers, and she was running as good or better than any boat under 30 feet, but I was playing it safe.

With a few more skills under my belt, I'll be looking forward to see how she runs against other boats on the way to Catalina!

Practice makes perfect......

I have had 2 Sutphens in the past & currently own a 31.

They are a handfull until you get into the Sutphen bounce rhythm

Talk to me LS...
Is this "bounce rythem" the kind of thing were you just need to let her run and not fight the wheel? Racing motorcycles, I used to try and relax and trust the bike to stay online. Or do you mean you gotta go fast enough to get her well on top of the waves, and trust she'll stay on track???
I'd be interested to hear what you've picked up over the years. I like going fast, but not getting in over my head...
