I am thinking about doing the run. What dates? I hear it is a great run but dangerous at some points of the course. Is that true?

First sat in May. Personally i do not think the course is that dangerous but the river can get narrow in some turns.

Nothing dangerous that I've ever noticed.

One of my favorite runs, and the best part it's in my back yard. Jeff

I'll be there. Racing/excessive speed in the rivers is the biggest problem with the run as far as safety is concerned.

Consult a chart before going into the Tchefuncte river inlet (or follow someone) as the entrance from the lake runs parallel to the bank by the lighthouse. Straight into/out of the river there is a shallow spoil pile.
