Default Project Guage

Has anyone replaced the guages in your CC 260 ? My wires R real brittle not to mention the fuse holders are a bit antiquated. I would like to redo the entire layout and go with rocker switches and some decent guages however when I pull the pannel off it scares the hell out of me ( an electrical nightmare ). If you know what I mean. Howbout a wiring schematic, anyone know where ya can find one for an "88" modle?

That is a good start! You can probably get your wiring diagram for your model year boat directly from customer support from CCraft... I got that wit Formula... When I did my CCraft, I splitted the biig connections, and changed wire per wire, with same color code there was in there plus gauges, took a while and patience, but was working well after! Good luck!

Thanks for the color chart that helps alot, I have been putting it off for about 3 yrs but i'm tired of having to jiggle the switches to get my nav. lights to work, not to mention the cabin, cockpit and stern lights, outdrive indicators and trim tabs. We have a helluva time in her during the summer, spring, fall and winter too as long as it's above 70°. My engines have a little over 1000 hrs on them and their a little on the tired side, not sure which project to start 1st. May try to get 1 more season from them before I lay er down for sugery. I just hope i'm not asking too much.

I just tore my dash apart last weekend and I agree, what a MESS! I priced new gauges from either trick marine or performance marine, I can't remember, and to replace all of mine I was looking at $800...that was the absolute cheapest I could find. These are white faced gauges and I think red bezels for them were $3-$4 per gauge. I'm going to replace my existing switches with the same style, only white. I'm curious to hear how your swap goes...
