Default Installing A/C in a 280

Well guys, I getting ready to tackle it. I'm going to mount the unit in the storage bin on the left when you going in the cuddy. I have a question though. What is below the floor of that storage unit? I want to drill a hole in it for the condesate drain hose, but I'm not sure what's underneath. Anyone know?

Thanks,
Frank

We are going to be staying on the boat more this year. So If I don't buy a new one I'm going to add some goodies to mine

Frank,

The AC unit is in the same place on my 390. There's a drain hose that runs in the gunnel and dumps into the bilge. There shouldn't be anything underneath the storage floor. You wouldn't want to dump the condensate there directly since it would pool up around the stringer but you could probably run a hose along the stringer to the bilge with some luck (and no bulk heads in between hopefully) or go down gunnel as they did with my installation.

Rick
