I just found out Baja will not deliver my boat without muffler tips.
Anybody have real numbers on how badly it effects the performance?

Don't know about the performance but a lot of people swap the muffler tips out for angle cut tips. Supposed to be a very simple job. Do a search, there are a few threads about it on here.

They do NOT effect performance much at all. They do effect sound a LOT.

I got rid of them quick for a better look and better sound.

You will not notice any difference in performance.

I wasn't looking forward to a project on a brand new boat.

When I swapped mine out, I was happy to find that Baja doesn´t use any silcone or sealant. There is just a rubber gasket between hull and the mufflers, so they push out pretty easily. I only ran the boat once with them, and changed the prop at the same time, going from 64 mph up to 67 mph. But that was the prop!
