Sterling 1500's.

Maybe I have never paid attention before to the belt setup on Sterlings, but notice the blower belt. It does not have cogs or a v setup. I would think that could slip with so little surface area.

Maybe ya get the best of both worlds, when it's hooked up act's like a set of slick drag tires, but if the engine cough's hopefully it slips ???????? Just a guess

A multi v grove belt has twice the surface area to grip and a cog belt will not slip at all. Interesting setup. Beautiful engines.
