so who has the slowest boat here?? my best is 47.8, one way pass on a hand held etrex gps. 1 person on board, light fuel. what I cant figure out is why with 7 people, over 1/2 tank of fuel and a really big cooler, I can still do 45.

You guys are total slackers. My Silverton hits a whopping 24.8 mph wide open with both 250 hp Chrysler 360s screaming at an awesome 4200 rpms........

Tabs up and low on booze

Rinker Deckboat 24' when trimmed out and light on fuel will hit a blistering 31mph. All the while I am holding a cocktail.

1992 19' "Deckboat" brand deckboat. Original w/ 175 evinrude. 12 passengers and a beer keg in the middle still tops out at 42. It will also pull 2 skiers with a boat load of people.

The guys on my dock named my boat, "Fat Ba$tard". She sets the water on fire at a cheek flapping 54 MPH GPS. Still faster than my last boat - a 266 Crownline with a 7.4MPI that ran a cheek puckering 48 MPH GPS.

my 2006 Whaler 170 Montauk w/ a 90hp 4S Merc on it used to run 42 WFO with a 19" S/S Vengenace on it. I then moved the motor up one set of holes and now she runs a smokin' 44 WFO!

I like this thread.
My 1996 32' Fountain Sport Fish Cruiser with STOCK 454's, bravo 1's and 14.25 x 25 p Mirages ran 62.7 mph on the factory spec sheet. I've never been over 57 mph.
Nice thing is on poker runs everyones wakes are gone by the time I'm up and running.
Boat is also heavy for a 32', 8700lbs dry.
Come on, there's got to be more of you crawlers out there,
ed
