Default wind deflector???

i was just wondering if a wind deflector really cuts down the noise level or just the wind hitting u in the face? i dont have one on my boat and i do hate how they look, but the noise from the wind is brutal. i cant even go 40 or 50mph without everyone having to scream to hear each other. i'm thinking about putting one on my boat and i'm not happy about it.

try windaway.com
Clamp on deflectors that work at 75 plus. Put them on my boat last year and consider them as important as lifejackets. I messed one up when I first got it and they went above and beyond to replace it for me. (mistake was totally my fault and I admitted it)

I made these out of 1/4" plexi. They are about 5"tall and 16" wide. They cut down on noise and windblast in a huge way. They are screwed down and are barely noticeable when you're driving except that I can at least hear the engine now. My boat was intolerable above 40 mph because of the wind noise and now I can go as long and fast as I want with zero discomfort. The ones from windaway are ok too, but I thought that they are way too tall and goofy looking.

I'd much rather have ugly than hearing damage. Noise level just from wind at 60 mph is over 100 dB. That's why you have to yell. As far as your ears go, first the high frequencies go, and then the rest. You can also get permanent tinitus (ringing). Just something to think about from someone who unfortunately knows about it firsthand.
