Thumbs down Don't Buy Anything From Total Performance, Inc!!!!

I bought a small lift kit for my 2001 duramax 1 ton dually, and when I got the kit I expected the U-bolts would be correct, but when I was ready to install the kit, they were a smaller diameter than stock and they are the same size as the stock u-bolts. (Weaker and too short)

And here is where the problem started. I called them to find out if they, mabee, mailed me the wrong u-bolts or something. The owner answered the phone and he was rude right off the bat!! Telling me that I don't know what I'm talking about and how it's my fault that "HE" shipped me the wrong product!!!

He ended up hanging up on me before telling me too bad!!

I could not believe that someone that screwed up could act this rude!! He also didn't know that GMC & Chevy didn't make a single wheel one ton in 2001 and 2002!!

I was very calm in explaining the problem, and he just went off!! I think that it was just a packing problem, but I guess I have to fix his lack of knowledge myself and warn everyone else about this waste of space!!

I wish I still lived in Illinois, so that I could go knock on his door, because I was pretty hot! It's not a good time of year to be sitting in jail. Gotta boat man!!!

So be warned about this guy and find you products somewhere else!! Good luck everyone!!!!

Hey Carrboy, you have the same truck I have. Were the u-bolts longer than the stock ones? I think he just put the wrong u-bolts in the package. I think he could hav efixed the problem easily, but he had a massive case of A**!

Thanks, Mick

Mick,I don't know if they were longer...we dropped the old bolts and never even gave it a thought...look where the nut is on the stock one and if the bolt still has 2" of thread it should work...the new bolts are bronze in color...sorry the guy was a d!ck...want me to call him?I've given him at least 10 customers this month. Mike

That's ok Mike, I allready bought some longer u-bolts from a local outfit. I will have to take a picture of the ones he sent me. They are exactly the same length as the stock ones, and a smaller diameter than stock. (cheap cheap!). I don't think it would do any good to call him, but I appreciate the offer.

I'm taking the Cig out this weekend and I'm sure I'll forget about everything!!

Thanks, Mick
