the raptor has always been top heavy. you will end up spending good $$ for A-arms and an axle to make it wider and stable.

if i were to buy a new machine, i would look at the Honda 450. it's based off the old 250R frame....which is the best balanced quad ever made.

BTW, I'm a Banshee owner, and have been on the track with just about everything.

the new raptor has the yfz a-arms and is lower and less tippy than the originals. but the important thing is what kind of riding are you planing on doing?? different quads do different things better than others... shoot me a pm with some more information and we will get you set up. I have been racing quads since 88, building frames and swingarms, doing shocks etc.

The new one is much improved over the older model. Buddy has one. Fuel injection makes for some real good throttle response. The handling seems to be a lot better than the old one. I couldn't stand riding the older ones, but the newer ones seem to be tolerable for me.

Still prefer the lower stance of my YFZ, but that's nothing more than a preference for riding style.

The Rappy will be a good all around quad if you want to trail ride and have reverse. Plenty of power.
