Default 1st day in the new skater

Took delivery of the boat Thursday and made plans to go out today. Being that I'm new to cats and having to throttle and monitor 4 engines is a bit much the first time out so I called Gary Ballough for some help. For those that don't know Gary he has been in the offshore race game a long time and is one of the most respected throttleman out there, he lives close to me and was hyped up to go. We put in at the 14th street ramp and headed out the inlet then nort toward Boynton, After we got comfortable with the boat the gps went 80-90-100-105 with room to go. In the ICW between the Boynton inlet and the north bridge trimmed just past level we touched 124mph and we were out of room. Watching and feeling the throttle control Gary has was an awesome, the boat flew perfectly straight, never lost momentum after landing and it's acceleration over 80 was incredible. A big thanks to Gary

Congrats with the boat, with Gary you've got one of the best. With him that stretch of ICW ends really quick.

I heard you ran with a certain inflatable boat that surpised you a bit? We were around, shot out the inlet and headed north to Lake Boca and did a lap. Then we ran down to Port Everglades and around on the inside. The ocean was nice. Too bad we didn't see you.

Pics coming soon, at 124 we were touching 7k but I have ROS pcm's so we had another 1,500 rpm or so more to go. We were also running 14.5\34 props across and i need 15\34's on the outside motors. It definately sounds good, a guy in a scarab said it sounded like a champ boat.

Lucky, who was the guy in the inflateable? that thing was like 18 ft and ran about 65..lol..
