You should boycott South Beach, cause the place sucks, way too expensive, no one speaks english... stay in Ft. Lauderdale forthe night and then continue to key west.

I always stay at the Winterhaven Hotel. 1400 Ocean Dr. It is north of the crazy part of the strip but right there where you want to be. It also has a nice little Martini Bar and veranda to sit on.

las olas is kind of low key. Blue Martini at the galleria or Hard Rock Casino about 15 min west rocks
