oil temp climing

Can anyone tell me what to check , as to why my oil temp is going up to 230 when my port motor stays at 160 ? the motors are all rebuilt and all coolers cleaned and all oil hoses flushed, The motor temp is at 150.

I don't thing so I only have 10 minutes on them at 2500rpm. I was told it could be the t-stat for the oil system located in that square block that the filter screws on to.???????????

I ment Did you spin a bearing on the original engine?
230 degrees for oil is about perfect. I would question the one at 160 degrees.
ALso at 160 I would check to make sure you do not have the oil lines reversed. I have seen that done, no oil flowing through the filter and the temp sensor was on the filter pad.
Where are the sensors for the oil temp located?
