Default Ideas to remove stains from cockpit vinyl?

Yesterday I used my boat to be the pace boat for the SBI race. One of the SBI guys lite a orange flare and the smoke landed on the cockpit interior. I have tried everything to get it off and it won't come off. Welcome any ideas!!!! Thanks

Sorry to say, we did the same thing for the race here in Cambridge 2 years ago. We had an orange flare in the boat, all the interior had to be re-died. We even had a professional detailing company come in and try, nothing would get it out!

Good luck!

Apparently bleach & water works on most things. I read a thread where a guy placed paper towels over spots and then sprayed a 75% bleach / 25% water solution on the paper towels (make sure they are pure white) and kept them moist for a day and some nasty mold stains, etc. came right out. Doing this in direct sunlight seems ideal. Good luck!

Bleaching out the stain over time with exposure to the sun is probably your only hope.

I had a purple stain on white vinyl that was impossible to remove. I covered it with white vinyl paint from West Marine. Looked quite OK
