I finally got my oil lines made. I got a few straight 1/2" NPT X 5/8" flare fittings. I need a few 45* or 90* ones. These are the ones I got. The silver one is a 45*, but the hole looks much smaller on the NPT side. The 90* ones are huge compared to the 45* ones. I know that the 45* should be better for flow, but does the openess of the 90* make up for the extra bend?

Those fittings lookto be too restrictive. You should stay away from 90* pipe bends. When you need to make a bend, you should look into using smooth bend AN fittings.

absolutely. 90* nipples are very restrictive. use a straight nipple with a radiused hose end, so you dont interupt flow. also the lines should be -10. unless you have big power then use -12.

back to the drawing board

well, I ended up ordering everything that I needed from summit. it's all -12 stuff, radiused bends, etc. so that shouldn't be a problem
