I stopped by Custom Marine Carpet in Niles MI today to see about getting a new carpet for my 26 Powerquest. I had pretty much settled on going with the light gray which is what the boat came with. However when I walked in he a beautiful purple carpet sitting there all finished with the Baja logo cut in it. Purple would look awsome in my boat but I'm a little worried about fade and heat with the purple v.s the light gray.
Anyone have the dark purple?? Thoughts??? Also I have the 20oz and I beleive the better is a 40 oz (might be wrong there). Will the 40 or heavier carpet hold more water?? I've got 3 kids and they are in and out of the boat wet and the 20 oz seems to dry out pretty quick.

Go with the 40oz and we did not have a problem with the purple fading in Florida.

My purple has just a hint of fade, but only if you knew it. Doesn't get hot at all, but the Fountain logo in black on the other hand..... ouch!

How's the dark color for keeping clean??
