Default cleaver or rounded blades?

i'm running a hydromotive 24p quad cleaver race labbed with a slight cup back at the tips. the motor is a 500 efi normally aspirated but built to crank 560hp(dyno at shaft). braov xr 1:1.5 ratio. the boat is a scarab 26 weighing in at 4800 lb. i get 5250-5300 rpm for a solid 73mph on gps (40 gal of fuel and 4 people). i am very pleased with the attitude and control of the present set up. mid range power is excellent. the out of the hole is a bit touchy, too much throttle and all you get is spin. the question is: if i switch to a round blade of the same pitch, lab and cup, will it hook up better out of the hole and will i get any more top end or am i just sacrificing the stern lift? any thoughts would be helpful.

I'd try a stock 26p Bravo one and see how she runs. "Labbing" the stock prop can get you a little more on top and change the attitude if necessary.
I would think that your straight V would run well with less stern lift.

I just tried a Bravo on my 35' Fountain after running Hydros. Much better handling characteristics. I will be labbing shortly to gain speed.

Agreed, try a Bravo 1 propeller.
