i bought a 1990 24 ft maelstrom.just looking for info on boat.I know it was built by ron hicks in sarasota.he built a 32 ft cat that ran 132 or somthing in 1988.Thats all I have found out,cant even find another one any where. thanks a lot

Like I mentioned on speedwake,mike drury set the offshore straight away kilo record in 1984 with a 34 ft maelstrom cat w/3 425 hp outboards at 131 mph,it held until late 80's when another cat re-set the record,Smitty
