Default Fastest 30 Foot Single

What is the fastest 28-30 foot single out there in a standard V or deep V,and or a Twin Step hull configuration? I am looking at possibly selling my 27 foot Virage twin step with a MPI 502 to jump into a 30 foot single. I'm not sure if I should stay with the Virage and just supercharge and have the boat wrapped in a wild desighn, or step up in size. I have never had a problem with the virage, well besides a cracked windsheild on my passenger side that a friend desided to bust his butt on...Still trying to find a replacement for that one... I want to stay with a single due to the easy access to the motor as well as fuel consuption. I would like to have a 30 footer that would run in the 73-80 range if possible with relibility being the major factor.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Activator or Superboat are going to be the fastest. Low seventys in not too much to expect form a large single with at around 500 horse. It depends of what you are looking for and how much $ you want to spend, there are alot of nice boats that you could look at. Do a search there are alot of threads on this topic, the bottom line is how much cash you want to spend.

28 Sunsation
28 Active Thunder
28 Pantera
28 Nordic ( I have owned one)
28 Checkmate ( I have owned one)
28 Cig
28 Saber

The new 30' Adrenaline might be your winner or at minimum a serious contender. I have seen (2) of these in person and they are incredibly well built and beautiful.

If I didn't already have a 30' boat with twins that I love, it would be my next boat for sure.

My price range would dictate a used performace boat in the price range of 50-65K. I have been leaning toward a 29 Fountain, another Twin step similiar in sense to my Virage 27. Based on the number of members with the vast experience I have observed, maybe you all can show me the way.. Move up in size, or Mod what ya have Thanks again for the feedback

For speed I would go with the 29 fountain.

For price and rough water abitlity- I'd go with the 28 Saber

For an all out badazz mamma jamma - 28 PANTERA - voted #1 rough water 28 ft boat by OSO- do your research. kinda of bias though - I hope to buy one very soon.

SuperboatY2K
Sunsation 32 Dominator (Single, there are only 5 or so in existence.)
28 Active Thunder is a BIG 28. Its a conventional straight V-bottom (for now), but will run 75 and maybe a few ticks more with a 525EFI.

The Y2K is 30' w/ swim platform.
The Sunsation Dominator is 32' w/ swim platform.
The Active Thunder is 28 Feet before you bolt on a swim platform at your option.
