I just got my new dominator home from the Great Lakes. Im curious to know what will be the next step up for engine mods for me. It as the stock 454 (330hp) and bravo 1's..
Where should I go from here? Headers, superchargers? Does changing the air filters do ANY good on them?
Says it will run 70mph with that setup, ive not had it out yet to try it. I just got props today.

Better exhaust, something you can use later when you finally get better motors for it. Otherwise just do a thorough tune up on them to be sure your getting all they got and save the money for some 502s. Too many weak parts in the 7.4s, not worth the money to build up cause eventually you'll break them.

Buy things ya can use on new mills like, stainless marine gen 111 exhaust, full msd, billet dist etc.,water crossovers, good heads dart, brodix, intakes, then aerquipp every hose.......................After all that think of upgrading your drives to handle the power, then ya can start on the dash all new gauges, shifters throttles, cool bezels, deck cleats all matching powder coat, mirror the engine hatches, diamond plate engine compartment, billet battery boxes.....
It will never end take your time and buy good parts......

DOn't put anything on them that you can't use on your new mills. There is only so much you can do to the 330 without spending more than they are worth. Did a buddies last year with 9.2 cr, intake, carb, cam and lightnings and it runs great in the midrange but runs outta gas at 4800-4900 cause of the heads that he wouldn't change. It does sound fast though

I say superchargers = best bang for the buck (maybe more than one kinda "bang"...haha). I've been reading up on the 174/177 and at least one guy ran the 330 without issues. Get a pulley that only runs 3-4psi, use good gas and go easy on 'em; at least 50hp maybe? If you pick up the SCs used (OSO or Ebay), you could probably sell 'em in a year when you decide you need more.
