You know,the sbling rivalry deal.Here's what we have.My brother has a 1997 Baja Hammer 21 footer with a 385hp 454mag totally stock.
I have a 1997 Scarab 23 SCS with a 415hp 502mag mpi totally stock except the IMCO exhaust. I out weigh him by about four or 500 hundred pounds. The hole shot we're bow to bow but he starts to pull away once on plane.
I would like to stay away from procharging as that's not in the check book this year. What would be some reasonable bolt on HP increase so I can waste his boat?
Sorry to offend any BAJA OSO'ers but his race car, snowmobile, atv and boat is faster than mine.

what rpm are you turning at WOT? Depending on how much he's pulling on you, you may be able to make up some ground with a different or worked prop............That may be your cheapest option. Or get a fat friend to ride with your bro....

pull out the interior.
as soon as he starts pulling on you, rub rail his a#$
throw a roll of hefty bags in front of his boat
spray it
or try a better prop and exhaust. that should free up some power and give ya maybe 3 or 4
