You know,the sbling rivalry deal.Here's what we have.My brother has a 1997 Baja Hammer 21 footer with a 385hp 454mag totally stock.
I have a 1997 Scarab 23 SCS with a 415hp 502mag mpi totally stock except the IMCO exhaust. I out weigh him by about four or 500 hundred pounds.The hole shot we're bow to bow but he starts to pull away once on plane.

I would like to stay away from procharging as that's not in the check book this year.What would be some reasonable bolt on HP increase so I can waste his boat?

what rpm are you turning at WOT? Depending on how much he's pulling on you, you may be able to make up some ground with a different or worked prop............That may be your cheapest option. Or get a fat friend to ride with your bro....

I went to a 26p Bravo1 4 blade on mine and still do every bit of the original advertised 76+ MPH and the boat does a much better hole shot.

or try a better prop and exhaust. that should free up some power and give ya maybe 3 or 4
