2006 6.2 bravo one,steering is tigh and sticky,possible cause

Sounds like you are low on fluid. Gets real tight when low. If not that maybe your pump is going or a loose belt. Not a lot that can go wrong in pwr steering sys. Your cable should be fine since your boat is new.
